Book Week

Room Six are really enjoying all the events organised for the 'Book Fair'. Gill took us to view the book display in Room One on Monday and all the children wrote a 'Wish List' for their favourite books. Everyday the whole school meets in the Foyer at 11.05am to listen to books chosen from the Book Fair.

Philippa Crack, a librarian from the Dunedin Public Library came to read to Bradford School on Tuesday.

She told us that for nearly 100 years children in Dunedin have been able to borrow books from the library.

Phipippa also showed us a new pop up book, everyone was amazed at the pop outs. The book can't be issued but you can read it when you are visiting the library.

Fish and Chip Night

After we had eaten we all went over to the Book Fair to show our Parents and Grandparents the books we wrote on our Wish Lists.

Friday is Book Character Dress Up Day. I am looking forward to seeing what costumes the children create to wear.

Wow! I like all the wonderful pictures on your blog Room 6. Wasn't that special pop up book of Narnia just amazing! I liked the book that Phillipa showed us about all the different ways that children get books delivered all around the world-wouldn't it be funny to get books delivered by camels or elephants at Bradford School - now that would make a great photo!
